Webinar: Training & Onboarding in a Small School Context

This webinar focuses on training and onboarding new professionals at a small school, as well as experienced professionals who are new to the small school context. If you are a new or experienced professional considering work in a small school, you will also find this webinar informative. The presenter will cover the realities of working at a small school, both positive and challenging. You will learn about the relationships you will need to foster and the tools you can use in your work. We will also cover managing yourself and your responsibilities, while also managing the “other duties as assigned.” We hope you will join us to learn more about helping employees discover their small school superpowers.  

About the Presenter

Celia Keefer is an assistant director at Dartmouth College’s Collis Student Center, where she works with building operations and leads the training and development of student building managers. Her work centers on creating welcoming, campus spaces while preparing student staff to navigate complex environments. With a background spanning residential life, student activities, and therapeutic education, Celia brings a systems-focused and student-centered approach to training—especially in small school settings where adaptability is key. Prior to Dartmouth, she served as associate director of clubs and organizations at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where she rebuilt training programs and developed systems that strengthened student officer engagement.
