2024 IPDS: New Professionals Seminar
July 8, 2024 – July 12, 2024
New college union and student activities professionals gather annually at Indiana University’s Indiana Memorial Union for IPDS: New Professionals Seminar. The institute, designed to provide the foundation for a successful career, will offer participants an immersive five-day program focused on skill building and networking.
Schedule
The schedule is now available in the Eventsential mobile app! You may access this via your computer or on your mobile device by downloading the Evensential app. Once downloaded, search for 2024 IPDS: New Professional Seminar to add the guide.
Account Creation Information
Some information and features related to the event may only available to registered attendees. You will need to create an account with Eventsential to access locked down features via the desktop site or the mobile app. Here is how you do that:
- Either visit the desktop site (insert link) or download the Eventsential app from your phone’s app store.
- Select “Log In” in the upper right corner.
- As prompted, enter the email address used when you registered.
- If you have never created an account with Eventsential, it will ask for your first and last name, then send an email for you to sign in to the event (as confirmation of your identity).
- If you have created an account with Eventsential before, it will simply send an email that will allow you to sign in to the event.
- When logging in to Eventsential in the future, you will simply need to provide your email address, then use the link provided via email to access your account. There is no requirement to create a password.
If upon initial access, you are unable to access the locked down sections, please refresh or navigate to another content area. This should dismiss the message about restrictions. If access issues persist, please request assistance through the “Need Help” feature on the program website.

(June 13–27)

Travel and Hotel
IPDS will be hosted at Indiana University–Bloomington.
Hotel
A room block is available at the Biddle Hotel in the Indiana Memorial Union. Rates are $109–$139 per night, plus tax. To secure your room, contact the Biddle Hotel directly at 800-209-8145 or 812-855-2536 or visit www.imu.indiana.edu. Don’t forget to mention the group code IPDS2024 when making your reservation.
Parking
There is a $6 parking fee per day for the hotel that can be charged to your hotel room.
Transportation
If you are arriving on Sunday, please reach out to Go Express to book your shuttle service. The Indiana Memorial team will be driving all those who arrive on Sunday to Butler University/Indiana University–Indianapolis on Monday.
If you are arriving on Monday, please email Teresa Weimann at tweimann@iu.edu as we will coordinate transportation from the airport to Butler University/Indiana University–Indianapolis for no additional fee.
All should coordinate their own transportation on Friday; we recommend Go Express.
