Join us for a conversation about how Trooh can transform your student center or union. Learn how to impact your revenue while adding to your student experience. Trooh is a free digital signage solution that offers cloud-based software for internal marketing, free content, and revenue generation through advertising.  Trooh is on over 1,000 campuses, with hundreds of ACUI institutional members in the portfolio, including, University of Washington, University of Central Florida, and Oklahoma State University—all will be joining the panel.  

About the Presenters
  • Monica Duran is the associate director for event and information services at the University of Washington’s Husky Union Building. She has served in student union event and operations roles for over 15 years, focusing on community engagement and student development, with various roles and support in marketing, programming, finance, and any other needs that have arisen. She also serves as the business manager for ACUI Region IV.  
  • Debbie Shotwell is the assistant director of student union marketing at Oklahoma State University, where she has served in this capacity since 2002. Debbie oversees the marketing efforts for the Student Union, where she manages and maintains a strategic, comprehensive marketing plan for the union and its entities, including the general building, retail operations, dining, campus life, meeting and conference service, and building operations. These efforts include the coordination of creating and implementing strategies to market and advertise entities via multiple media platforms, including print and digital. After earning her Bachelor of Science in marketing in 1992, Debbie worked in Arlington, Texas, for Delta Delta Delta Executive Office as director of communications. She was happy to return to her alma mater and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid college softball fan.  
  • Patrick Burke is a collaborative leader who brings over 10+ years of experience in higher education leadership and event management. As associate director of event logistics and student development at the University of South Florida Marshall Student Center, Patrick oversees event implementation, audio-visual production, building operations, and project management. Patrick is passionate about delivering large-scale, high-profile events, advancing student development, and driving innovative initiatives that enhance campus experiences and support the university’s mission.
