Webinar: 2025 State of the Union: What Does This Mean for Higher Ed?

This webinar will focus on the U.S. State of the Union address delivered by President-Elect Trump. Three ACUI members will watch the address and share their perspectives on how the new administration and next four years could impact their work. We assume the following topics might be covered: 

  • Immigration Reform – Impact to DACA and Dreamers 
  • DEI Legislation – Impact to services and program offered by DEI offices  
  • Future of the U.S. Department of Education under Betsy Devos Linda McMahon – Uncertain impact to colleges and universities 
  • Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 – The primary education law that protects people from discrimination based on race, national origin, or color in educational programs or activities
