As the landscape of higher education evolves, so too must our approach to recruiting, onboarding, and developing student affairs professionals. This session delves into recruiting nontraditional candidates and navigating their successful integration into college student affairs roles. Effectively onboarding nontraditional staff requires an intentional and inclusive approach. Drawing inspiration from the Synergistic Supervision Model and understanding the current state of candidate pools and higher education hiring landscape, we invite professionals to explore outside their echo chambers and embrace new perspectives.
