Full Course: Professional Staff Supervision
January 20, 2025 – March 9, 2025 EST
This training is designed to help professionals develop knowledge and skills related to supervising full-time staff. Potential topics include the transition from supervising students to supervising full-time staff, professional development, evaluations, and other human resources topics. This course is eligible for continuing education credits for certified professionals. The registration deadline is January 13.
OVERALL OBJECTIVE
Participants will be able to:
- Describe human development and management theories and their application to the supervision of full-time, professional staff members .
- Explain the role of onboarding and assist new hires with their transition into the campus community.
- Demonstrate formal and informal feedback methods related to evaluation, recognition, discipline, and termination.
- Model basic coaching and mentoring principles and techniques.
