The Meg Sutton I-LEAD® Scholarship recognizes students who have conquered obstacles in their education and have taken a leadership role in their college union or student activities program. The scholarship allows recipients to engage in ACUI’s premier student leadership development institute, covering the cost of registration to the ACUI event.

2022 Recipient: Emma Smith, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh

Emma Smith is a Reeve Union building manager. In this and other roles on campus, nominators note that Smith is courteous and respectful; professional staff are impressed by her maturity and initiative. “She is insightful, intentional, and understands how small details are important to the success of the big picture,” one wrote. At I-LEAD®, Smith hopes to learn more about herself as a leader as well as new information about leadership to bring back to her campus roles.
