Full Course: Building Management Foundations

The purpose of this course is to develop building management skills and knowledge in student building managers within the college unions and student activities profession. The registration deadline is September 30.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

Students will be able to:  

• Recognize the characteristics of collegiate environments and how person-environment interactions affect individual and group development .
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Identify at least one leadership development theory.
• Identify solutions to inclusivity climate challenges.
• Identify best practices for decision making, customer service, and conflict management.
• Consider an emergency preparedness for their campus.
• Create their own career development action plan.
