ACUI Central Office Location Changes in Bloomington

ACUI’s Central Office operations moved in December from its previous location on West Seventh Street in Bloomington, Indiana, to new offices at 3139 N. Westbury Village Drive, also in Bloomington.

Chief Executive Officer John Taylor said the move was both fiscally sound and operationally the right decision to make after most ACUI staff began working remotely during the pandemic and continue to do so today. The move to the new space comes after the Association downsized its existing footprint at the previous location two times during the pandemic.

“Similar to other associations, the change in workforce to mostly remote employees has changed the nature of what is needed for office space,” Taylor said. “This is also reflected beyond our industry as you have probably seen with the high vacancy rates in the commercial real estate market across the Unites States.”

The new office was recently constructed, has fewer office spaces, and boasts a larger footprint for storage to better accommodate shipping for Annual Conferences and other off-site programming. ACUI President Neela Patel and President-Elect Ann Comerford visited the new office in December, meeting with office staff still based in Bloomington.
