Ongoing Bulletin Contributors write articles for publication that advance the educational needs of members. These volunteers have an opportunity to share their knowledge and advice, develop their communication writing skills, and increase their visibility in the profession.
Reporting to the Assistant Editor staff liaison, for a one-year rolling term as agreed upon by the contributor and ACUI, contributors are responsible for:
- Contributing to the educational mission of the Association through at least four posts per year to The Bulletin, ACUI’s publication for educational insights and information sharing for professionals.
- Submitting drafts and working with the editor during the editorial process to optimize each article
- Staying abreast of article due dates, the Bulletin team’s resources, and industry news to aid the conception of potential writing topics.
- Ensuring that contributions are either original or properly attributed, and highlight a skill set(s) within one or more of ACUI’s 11 core competencies.
This is an Association-level contributing volunteer position, ideal for those interested in curating content for other members, reviewing materials to help make decisions, sharing expertise to build credibility, and welcoming participants at events.
ACUI is accepting applications for this role on an ongoing basis.
