Keynotes
Seat at the Table: Why striving for inclusive excellence and belonging is more important than ever before.
Inclusion and belonging are crucial because they foster a sense of value, safety, and connection for individuals, leading to improved well-being, engagement, and overall success in various settings like workplaces and communities. When people feel included, they are more likely to contribute their talents, build stronger relationships, and reach their full potential. Our roles as higher education professionals is key to making sure that we instill these qualities and values in our students so they can thrive as they matriculate and when they launch into the world as professionals.
Presenter: Robert L. Solomon, Esq.
Vice President Campus Enrichment and Engagement
This is your Time
It has been said that difficult times will make you bitter or make you better. During these difficult times we find ourselves in the midst of, we have the opportunity to decide which it will be. As Viktor Frank observed, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response.” If we are to build for a better future, it is critical to create and nourish that space in ourselves, our teams, and our communities. Together, we will explore some methods and mindsets that can help us be agents of hope, positivity, and action.
