From Big Budget to Small Reno, Space is the Place that Matters
Whether it’s a renovation coming in at a couple hundred thousand dollars or a new building running in the tens of millions, one theme running through the reflections of those leading this year’s renovation and construction projects was that space matters. Quantity, quality, cost-conscious, collaborative … it didn’t matter. What mattered was that they were designing space with functionality, dignity, flexibility, and cohesiveness in mind. From color palettes to furniture coverings, integrating existing architecture or installing fresh technology, addressing feedback or solving budgetary constraints, every element of the design process has the potential to be a space influencer.
