Advancing Community Through Well-Being

The college union advances community in countless ways and well-being is certainly a focus for many involved with ACUI. Whether staff are supporting, leading, or hosting centers for basic needs, respite rooms, venues which elevate spiritual wellness, programs that enhance healthy habits, or environments that encourage safe, clean, and sustainable space, college union professionals are leading the way.

As an involved ACUI member since 2008 and professional in the field of higher education since 2014, he understands the student center is always evolving. He continuously seeks out collaborative opportunities to leverage physical space and create places where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

  • Dr. Jill Zambito serves as the assistant vice chancellor for health and wellness in the Division of Student Life at the University of Tennessee–Knoxville, where she leads departments focused on providing student support and services including the Center for Care & Resilience, Center for Health Education & Wellness, Student Counseling Center, Student Health Center, and RecSports. She also co-chairs the student Threat Assessment Team and teaches Introduction to Student Affairs in the College Student Personnel Master’s Program.
