SUMMARY:Webinar: From the Okanagan to Limerick: A Global Journey Toward Health Promoting U.S. Campuses
DESCRIPTION:In 2015\, the Okanagan Charter invited colleges and universities to reimagine campus health through a health promotion lens. Ten years later\, the Limerick Framework for Action builds on that vision—offering practical\, action-oriented strategies for creating healthier planet\, places\, and people. We will journey through the evolution from Charter to Framework and invite participants to consider how global health-promoting concepts can inspire and translate to action to support student success and community wellbeing in our current U.S. context. \n\n\n\nFollowing this program\, you will be able to: \n\n\n\n\nDescribe the evolution from the Okanagan Charter to the Limerick Framework for Action\, highlighting the shift from broad commitments to practical\, action-oriented strategies;\n\n\n\nIdentify how the Limerick Framework’s three pillars—planet\, place\, and people—relate to U.S. campus environments and wellbeing in higher education; and\n\n\n\nAssess opportunities within their own institutions where global health promotion frameworks could inform local policies\, practices\, and environments to strengthen student success and community well-being.\n\n\n\n\nInter-Association Well-Being Collaborative Learning Series\n\n\n\nAs the Inter-association Well-being Collaborative (IWC) moves from commitment to implementation\, we are proud to launch a dynamic webinar series designed to equip higher education professionals and association staff with tools to embed well-being into campus systems and structures. \n\n\n\nThis multi-part series brings the IWC’s core principles to life: transcending silos\, embedding well-being across all roles and functions\, and advancing a shared vision for thriving campus communities. Through interactive sessions\, real-world examples\, and global perspectives\, we aim to build capacity\, inspire innovation\, and foster collaboration across sectors. \n\n\n\nRegitration\n\n\n\nThis event is free. Registration is through NACE. \n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\nAbout the Presenters\n\n\n\n\nChris Dawe\, AVP Health and Wellbeing\, University of Houston\n\n\n\nSimran Bhatia M.B.A.\, Associate Director for Collective Impact\, Emory University

Does the model reflect institutional needs in 2026\, or do they look like they did in 1866? Are your communication and decision-making channels sustainable and easy to follow?   \n\n\n\nLeaders utilize Organizational Design Review (ODR) to inform their institution’s design\, enabling them to effectively and efficiently achieve their goals. In this session\, leaders and facilitators will learn how to design\, launch\, and implement an ODR to comprehensively and objectively examine their institution’s current structure\, understand challenges\, and reveal opportunities.  \n\n\n\nLeaders and facilitators will learn how to design\, launch\, and implement an ODR to comprehensively and objectively examine their institution’s current structure\, understand challenges\, and reveal opportunities.  \n\n\n\nAbout the Presenter\n\n\n\n\n\nKim-Marie Jenkins\, Ed.D.\, is an organizational culture\, leadership\, and change strategist with over 25 years of experience in higher education in the U.S. and England. \n\n\n\nKim-Marie serves as the senior director for organizational design and leadership development for the University of Maine System\, where she partners with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives that cultivate a high-performing culture aligned with institutional mission. Kim’s signature strength includes building relationships and trust with leaders and teams to better understand their needs\, design better outcomes\, and overcome barriers in achieving them. \n\n\n\nKim is the immediate past president for NCCI. She is a certified Prosci change management instructor\, executive coach\, and teaches courses in change management\, culture\, and ethical leadership. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJanuary 29: An Introduction to Equity-Minded Assessment\nYou know you need to level up your assessment\, but you aren’t sure exactly where to begin. This session will provide a refresher on the basics of assessment in higher education so professionals have a solid foundation and understand terminology. Participants will first be introduced to the steps of the assessment cycle and will get to work together to practice writing effective outcomes with feedback provided. Additionally\, when done well\, assessment can help tell a story about your impact and making data-informed decisions\, yet assessment and inclusion are often seen as two separate initiatives. In reality\, good assessment requires equity to be at the forefront and integrated into every step. This session will help you break down what it means to be an equity-minded assessment practitioner (in understandable terms that do not require an advanced degree). \n\n\n\nAbout the Presenter\n\n\n\n\n\nMegan Bell\, Ph.D.\, has over 20 years of experience leading teams and change in higher education. She currently serves as the executive director of the University-Student Union at California State University–Los Angeles and the chair of the Assessment\, Evaluation\, and Research Program Team for ACUI. Throughout her career\, Megan has facilitated learning for teams and organizations on the topics of social justice\, leadership development\, appreciative inquiry\, assessment and evaluation\, communication\, and team engagement. She believes in the power of using individual and organizational strengths to build teams\, identify opportunities for growth\, and effect change. Megan earned a Ph.D. in higher education leadership from Colorado State University\, an Ed.M. from Washington State University\, and a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado. She also has served as an assistant professor in the College of Education teaching courses in organizational leadership\, diversity and inclusiveness\, higher education administration\, assessment\, and educational policy and governance. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFebruary 5: Strategic Measurements for Organizational Effectiveness\nTired of metrics that confuse more than they clarify? This practical\, engaging workshop led by I/O Psychologist Angela Song-Ruiter\, Ph.D.\, helps leaders design metrics that truly support strategy rather than distract from it. The session introduces clear\, accessible frameworks for building meaningful measures and spotting common pitfalls in how metrics are designed\, interpreted\, and communicated. Through short\, hands-on exercises and a realistic institutional case study\, participants will practice creating actionable\, strategically aligned metrics. You’ll leave with simple tools\, sharper insight\, and greater confidence in using data to guide decisions and improve organizational performance—while anticipating the change management needs essential for successful implementation. \n\n\n\nAbout the Presenter\n\n\n\n\n\nAngela Song-Ruiter\, Ph.D.\, is an I/O psychologist and organizational transformation strategist with more than two decades of experience in strategic planning\, organizational assessment\, and building meaningful measures of success. SUMMARY:Every Role\, Every Student: Building a Culture of Caring Together
DESCRIPTION:Drawing from CCCSE’s upcoming national report\, Essential Conditions for Community College Student Success: Maximizing Student Engagement by Fostering a Culture of Caring\, this webinar will highlight how every faculty and staff member contributes to an environment where students feel seen\, supported\, and empowered to succeed. Participants will explore the five components of caring—belonging\, self-efficacy\, help-seeking\, basic needs support\, and well-being. \n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\nAbout the Presenters\n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Linda García is the executive director of the Center for Community College Student Engagement (CCCSE) at The University of Texas at Austin. Linda never imagined she would one day lead CCCSE. In fact\, she never dreamed of earning a doctoral degree. As children\, Linda and her siblings constantly heard from their parents—a father who grew up as a migrant worker and a mother who immigrated to the United States from Mexico—that enrolling in college after high school graduation was the only choice to pursue. Even though she aspired to rise to the ranks of her favorite journalist\, Diane Sawyer\, little did she know that people and situations along her journey would become “turning points” that prepared her to become a community college leader. Prior to her current role\, Linda served as the Assistant Director of College Relations at CCCSE. She was Vice President of Community College Relations at the Roueche Graduate Center at National American University\, and she has worked at Lone Star College\, Maricopa Community Colleges\, and The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. Linda served as a coach for the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Pathways 2.0 and for the Texas Pathways Project. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes\n\n\n\n\nIdentify five essential components of caring.\n\n\n\nReflect on personal experiences of being cared for and how those moments shape their approach to supporting students.\n\n\n\nExplore data from CCCSE’s Culture of Caring Report that connects care to student engagement and success.\n\n\n\n\nACUI Core Competencies \n\n\n\n\nOrganizational Leadership\n\n\n\nStudent Learning\n\n\n\n\nRegistration Details\n\n\n\n\nCampus Pass for Premium or Full Tier Member Campus: $75\n\n\n\nIndividual at a Digital Tier Member Campus: $99\n\n\n\nNonmember: $99\n\n\n\n\nAfter the initial registration from an individual at a campus\, others associated with the campus will be able to register at the $0 complimentary rate.
